"Thank You for Always Being the Same," Netizens Praise Lee Jae-hoon of Cool
Lee Jae-hoon, a member of the group Cool, has attracted the attention of netizens after a heartwarming story surfaced about him personally clearing snow around his neighborhood during a heavy snowfall in Jeju Island.
Netizen A posted on their social media on the 8th, titled "Singer Lee Jae-hoon's Volunteer Work." A said, "(Lee Jae-hoon) clears the snow all over the neighborhood day and night, regardless of the time when it snows," and praised him as "a grateful celebrity who has been consistent for years."
The video he posted showed a man wearing a black coat operating a special vehicle to clear snow. This man is presumed to be Lee Jae-hoon.
Another netizen who watched the video claimed, "(Lee Jae-hoon) had a schedule in Seoul yesterday, but he cleared the snow early in the morning before leaving," adding, "He was truly amazing." Other comments included, "He is clearing snow again this year," "I saw a praise post on the Jeju City Hall complaint board two years ago about Lee Jae-hoon clearing snow," and "When I lived in that neighborhood, if it weren't for Lee Jae-hoon, we wouldn't have been able to get around," continuing the praise.
In fact, in 2022, a post sharing Lee Jae-hoon's heartwarming story was uploaded on the official Jeju City website's "Let's Praise" board. According to the post, a local resident wrote, "In a small village in Aewol-eup, Jeju City, where many outsiders live, no one cleared the snow except one person," and added, "Lee Jae-hoon of Cool frequently and continuously opened the neighborhood roads with a small snow removal vehicle even during this heavy snowfall."
They continued, "He cleared snow alone, spread calcium chloride, and pushed the snow around countless times a day," and said, "Even after the snow stopped, the snow in the neighborhood took a long time to melt, but thanks to Lee Jae-hoon's snow removal, traffic flowed quickly. He is not only good at singing but also has a pure love for the neighborhood as pure as the snow itself. I am thankful and grateful."
Meanwhile, Lee Jae-hoon is a singer who debuted in 1994 as the main vocalist of the mixed-gender group Cool. After debuting, he was active with the group and released several hit songs such as "Small Waiting," "Woman on the Beach," "Fate," "Sorrow," and "Aloha," receiving great love from the public.
Lee Jae-hoon moved to Jeju Island in 2013, and since then, he is known to have been less active in the entertainment industry.
