Cheonan Expects 148.1 Billion KRW Investment and 485 Jobs
Asan Anticipates 190.6 Billion KRW Investment and 137 Jobs
A Total of 611 New Jobs to Be Created
Cheonan City and Asan City in South Chungcheong Province announced on the afternoon of the 10th that they had signed investment agreements (MOUs) worth a total of 338.7 billion KRW with eight domestic companies at the main conference room of the South Chungcheong Provincial Government Office.
The signing ceremony was attended by Kim Tae-heum, Governor of South Chungcheong Province, Park Sang-don, Mayor of Cheonan, Jo Il-gyo, Acting Mayor of Asan, and company representatives.
Through this agreement, Cheonan City expects to attract 148.1 billion KRW in investments and create 485 new jobs, while Asan City anticipates 190.6 billion KRW in investments and 137 new jobs.
Cheonan City signed agreements with four companies: Taeseong Co., Ltd. (99.4 billion KRW investment, 250 jobs), Koron Co., Ltd. (8.3 billion KRW, 24 jobs), ISCM Co., Ltd. (16.2 billion KRW, 200 jobs), and Dongnam Export Packaging Co., Ltd. (24.2 billion KRW, 11 jobs). These companies plan to establish or expand factories in the Northern BIT General Industrial Complex, the 4th General Industrial Complex, and individual sites in Seonghwan-eup and Seongnam-myeon.
Asan City signed agreements with four companies: E&D Co., Ltd. (4.6 billion KRW, 28 jobs), TS Engineering Co., Ltd. (6 billion KRW, 40 jobs), and Korea Automation Technology Co., Ltd. (10 billion KRW, 58 jobs). These companies plan to build or expand factories in the Eumbong General Industrial Complex.
Additionally, CPS Korea plans to invest 170 billion KRW to relocate its entire company to Asan, with 39 employees moving as well.
