Tteokguk Sharing Event Held for 700 Residents
at Jeonggwan Senior Welfare Center
On the 8th, Jeonggwan-eup, Gijang-gun, Busan (Eupjang Song Young-jong) announced on the 10th that the Busan Jeonggwan Rotary Club of International Rotary Club District 3661 (President Gu Nam Kang Hyun) held a 'Tteokguk Sharing Event' at the Jeonggwan Senior Welfare Center.
This Tteokguk sharing event has been ongoing for three years since 2023 and was organized to strengthen solidarity with the local community by serving tteokguk to residents in celebration of Jeongwol Daeboreum.
On the day, 13 members of the Jeonggwan Rotary Club personally cooked tteokguk from the morning and served it to about 700 residents, delivering warm comfort. County Governor Jeong Jong-bok also participated in the event, carrying tteokguk and communicating with the residents.

Kang Hyun, president of the Jeonggwan Rotary Club, said, “In celebration of Jeongwol Daeboreum, it was a meaningful time for local residents to share not only tteokguk but also warm hearts together,” and added, “We will continue various activities for the local community.”
County Governor Jeong Jong-bok said, “Despite the recent severe cold, I hope that a warm bowl of tteokguk will help relax both the body and mind,” and expressed gratitude, saying, “Thank you to the Jeonggwan Rotary Club for preparing this meaningful event with warm hearts.”
