The Daegu Metropolitan Council (Chairman Lee Mankyu) will hold the 314th extraordinary session for 11 days from the 11th to the 21st, starting the schedule for deliberation on 20 agenda items including proposed and revised ordinances, as well as site visits.
During this session, the Daegu Metropolitan Council will review a total of 20 agenda items, including 18 proposed and revised ordinances and 2 consent items.
The proposed and revised ordinances scheduled for deliberation include the Ordinance on Support for the Daegu City Barugesalgi Movement Organization (Councilor Lee Jaehwa, Seo-gu 2), Partial Amendment to the Ordinance on Management and Operation of Daegu City Sports Facilities (Councilor Ha Jung-hwan, Dalseong-gun 1), Ordinance on Support for Daegu City Sports Clubs and Community Sports Instructors (Councilor Jeong Ilgyun, Suseong-gu 1), Ordinance on Support for Crisis Pregnancy and Protected Childbirth in Daegu City (Councilor Hwang Sunja, Dalseo-gu 3), Daegu City Automobile Noise Management Ordinance (Councilor Kim Taewoo, Suseong-gu 5), Ordinance on Support for Collection and Disposal of Agricultural Waste in Daegu City (Councilor Kwon Kihoon, Dong-gu 3), Partial Amendment to the Ordinance on Management of Urban Parks and Green Spaces in Daegu City (Councilor Lee Seong-o, Suseong-gu 3), Ordinance on Promotion and Support of the Software Industry in Daegu City (Councilor Kim Jaeyong, Buk-gu 3), Ordinance on Fostering and Supporting the Textile and Fashion Industry in Daegu City (Councilor Park Jongpil, Proportional Representation), Partial Amendment to the Ordinance on Management of Apartment Complexes in Daegu City (Councilor Hwang Sunja, Dalseo-gu 3), Partial Amendment to the Ordinance on Pedestrian Safety and Convenience Promotion in Daegu City (Councilor Jo Kyunggu, Suseong-gu 2), Ordinance on Activation of Economic and Financial Education by Daegu Metropolitan Office of Education (Councilor Son Hanguk, Dalseong-gun 3), and Full Revision of the Ordinance on Prevention and Education of Digital Sexual Crimes by Daegu Metropolitan Office of Education (Councilor Lee Youngae, Dalseo-gu 1), among various other ordinances proposed by council members in diverse fields.
The 1st plenary session, held at 10 a.m. on the 11th, will begin with an opening ceremony followed by the resolution of various agenda items for session operation.
From the 12th to the 20th, each standing committee will review ordinances and other agenda items, receive work reports from various departments and affiliated organizations such as public corporations and foundations, and conduct site visits to locations including the Daegu Childcare Comprehensive Support Center, Daegu Traditional Market Promotion Foundation, Sanghwa-ro Grade Separation Road Construction Site, and the Green Convergence Education Center.
At 10 a.m. on the 21st, the 2nd plenary session will be held to conduct 5-minute free speeches, finalize the approval of agenda items passed by each standing committee, and close the 314th extraordinary session.
Five council members are preparing 5-minute free speeches for this plenary session. The speeches include proposals on future agricultural policies to build a food dam for citizens (Councilor Kim Wonkyu, Dalseong-gun 2), "Let's Become Mothers of Mothers!" urging the establishment of a public postpartum care center in Daegu City (Councilor Yoon Gwongeun, Dalseo-gu 5), urging the expansion and strengthening of support for Daegu City’s shingles vaccination (Councilor Kim Daehyun, Seo-gu 1), policy proposals to strengthen the competitiveness of local root industries (manufacturing) (Councilor Lee Youngae, Dalseo-gu 1), and urging Daegu City’s groundbreaking measures to address low birth rates (Councilor Hwang Sunja, Dalseo-gu 3).
