Hanmi Semiconductor announced on the 10th that Chairman Gwak Dong-shin will acquire approximately 2 billion KRW worth of company shares using his personal funds.
The acquisition price is 106,000 KRW per share, totaling around 2 billion KRW. Since 2023, Chairman Gwak Dong-shin has acquired company shares worth a total of 39.3 billion KRW, slightly increasing his stake from 33.95% to 33.97%.
Despite having no prior order records in the HBM equipment market, rumors that Hanmi Semiconductor could receive its first large-scale order as an alternative supplier of TC bonders have caused Hanmi Semiconductor's stock price to decline, and this decision appears to be based on confidence in that potential.
Hanmi Semiconductor, which holds the number one global market share in TC bonders for HBM production, currently produces over 90% of the HBM3E 12-layer products used by leading AI semiconductor companies such as NVIDIA and Broadcom with its equipment.
