Yeouido Welfare Center Donates Money to Bereaved Families of Jeju Air Passenger Plane Accident

The Hope Bridge National Disaster Relief Association (President Song Pil-ho) announced on the 10th that Yeouido Welfare Center (Director Park Cheol-sang) delivered 1.5 million won in donations, collected bit by bit by the elderly at the welfare center, along with condolence postcards to the bereaved families of the Jeju Air passenger plane accident.

Yeouido Welfare Center conducted a fundraising campaign for about two weeks from January 8 to 24 to offer a small comfort to the bereaved families facing difficulties due to the accident. The donations contributed by Yeouido Welfare Center are planned to be provided to the bereaved families as consolation money.

Mr. Seol Jin-nam, a representative of the elderly who participated in the donation, said, "Although the amount raised is not large, it is meaningful in itself to be able to help the bereaved families," and added, "I hope this small sincerity brings comfort to the bereaved families."

Park Cheol-sang, director of Yeouido Welfare Center, said, "We extend our deepest condolences to the bereaved families who are going through great pain due to this accident," and added, "The elderly at the welfare center also gathered their sincerity with a heavy heart. I hope this small gesture becomes a warm comfort to the bereaved families."

Shin Hoon, Secretary General of Hope Bridge, said, "We thank Yeouido Welfare Center and the elderly for lending a warm hand in supporting the bereaved families," and added, "We hope the delivered donations and heartfelt condolences will be a small strength to the bereaved families."
