Ulsan Ulju-gun announced on the 10th that it will implement the ‘Home Eco-friendly Boiler Installation Support Project,’ which significantly reduces air pollutants and has high energy efficiency.
Eco-friendly boilers are products certified with the environmental label by the Korea Environmental Industry & Technology Institute. Compared to regular boilers, they emit lower amounts of air pollutants such as nitrogen oxides, thus greatly reducing fine dust, and their high energy efficiency also helps reduce fuel costs.
This project targets low-income and vulnerable groups, and from the 10th until the budget is exhausted, a total of 300 eco-friendly boilers will be supported on a first-come, first-served basis. A subsidy of 600,000 KRW per unit will be provided.
Applicants wishing to apply should check the announcement on the Ulju-gun website, prepare the necessary documents, and submit their application online or visit the Ulju-gun Environment and Climate Division in person.
An official from Ulju-gun stated, “Eco-friendly boilers reduce fine dust, improve air quality, and save heating costs. We hope many residents of Ulju-gun will benefit from applying for the eco-friendly boiler subsidy.”
