The Korea Publication Culture Industry Promotion Agency will hold the '2025 Korea Publication Culture Industry Promotion Agency Business Briefing' on the 19th at 2 PM at the SBA Hall on the 2nd floor of the Seoul Business Agency in Mapo-gu, Seoul.
The Publication Promotion Agency stated that this business briefing is organized to strengthen communication with stakeholders in the publication culture industry and related collaborative organizations, resolve questions from business clients, and encourage participation in support projects.
The agency identified its key business directions for this year as ▲ converting non-readers into readers ▲ global expansion of K-Book ▲ revitalization of local bookstores. With an increased budget for reading-related initiatives this year, various new projects aimed at expanding the reading population will be launched. The agency also plans to strengthen overseas promotional activities for K-Book, continuing the momentum from last year’s Nobel Prize win by author Han Kang. Additionally, support for revitalizing local bookstores, which serve as hubs for enjoying regional culture, will be expanded.
During the briefing, the agency will present its management strategy system, the 2025 budget, and key promotion directions. Introductions to support projects by departments such as the Publication Policy Research Office, Publication Network Operations Office, Industry Promotion Headquarters, and Culture Promotion Headquarters will also be conducted.
A representative from the Publication Promotion Agency said, “We ask for the active interest and participation of workers, job seekers, and the general public who are interested in the publication culture industry.” They emphasized, “We will continue to carry out projects without disruption this year for everyone who creates, shares, and reads books.”
Pre-registration for the briefing can be made through the Google Form (application page) until the 16th. For more detailed information, inquiries can be made via the notice posted on the application page or the official website.
After the briefing, the recorded video and materials will be provided through the Publication Promotion Agency’s YouTube channel and official website.
