Mokpo City Provides 'Generative AI' Training for Public Officials

For 100 Participants... Covering Document Creation Methods and Security Issues

Mokpo City, Jeonnam (Mayor Park Hongryul) announced on the 10th that it will conduct a training session on the utilization of generative artificial intelligence (AI) for public officials at the AI Metaverse Center on the 21st.

This training is designed to help public officials effectively use AI technology to enhance administrative efficiency and to integrate the latest technologies into their daily work.

The city plans to hold generative AI utilization training sessions quarterly starting in 2025, enabling over 100 public officials to participate each year. Through this initiative, public officials will be able to continuously learn about the latest AI technologies and lead innovation in administrative tasks.

In particular, this training will not only cover the application of generative AI to administrative tasks such as document creation, but also address AI ethics and security issues related to Deepseek.

Mayor Park Hongryul stated, "Through this training, I hope public officials will be able to use AI technology to increase productivity and provide faster and more efficient administrative services," adding, "We will continue to expand digital technology education for both public officials and citizens to realize smart administration."

Meanwhile, since its opening in 2023, the AI Metaverse Center has contributed to nurturing digital talent suitable for the era of the Fourth Industrial Revolution. The center is currently recruiting trainees for the 'Language Intelligence-Based Analysis Service Developer Course,' which starts in March.
