The Cultural Heritage Administration will inspect the status of thirty-five national heritage sites, including the national treasure 'Miryang Yeongnamru,' in cooperation with local governments until next month. Discussions and field training exercises simulating disasters such as fires, typhoons, and earthquakes will also be conducted.

On the same day, the Cultural Heritage Administration will hold an awards ceremony at the National Palace Museum of Korea in Jongno-gu, Seoul, honoring individuals who have contributed to national heritage disaster safety and winners of the national heritage disaster safety contest. Twelve works in the webtoon and short-form video categories will receive awards. Additionally, two organizations, including the Korea Fire Protection Association, which have worked on national heritage disaster safety and prevention policies, along with twenty-eight individuals, will be recognized for their contributions.

National Heritage Disaster Prevention Day was designated following the arson of Sungnyemun Gate on February 10, 2008. Around this day each year, the Cultural Heritage Administration inspects disaster prevention response situations at national heritage sites and conducts disaster response training.
