Baek Kyung-hyun, mayor of Guri City, will conduct the "2025 Dialogue with Citizens with the Mayor of Guri" over five days, starting from Galmae-dong on the 11th and ending in Inchang-dong on the 18th, visiting eight administrative welfare centers to collect citizens' difficulties and suggestions and actively reflect them in city administration in the Year of the Eulsa 2025.
According to the city on the 10th, the results of pre-submitted inquiries showed that the biggest recent issues in Guri City were mostly related to "Guri City-Seoul integration, development of Topyeong 2 District, GTX-B Galmae Station stop, extension of Subway Line 6, and Sano-dong E-commerce project." The city expects this event to be a lively forum for exchanging opinions on these topics.
Mayor Baek Kyung-hyun plans to use this dialogue time to directly explain major ongoing issues promoted by the city to citizen representatives and engage in a free discussion format where questions can be asked and answered on the spot, fostering open communication.
In particular, this event is expected to be a hopeful opportunity for exchange that actively listens to citizens' suggestions and shares opinions on the direction of city development, along with the "Open Mayor's Office Visiting Citizens" initiative that has been conducted since 2023.
Mayor Baek Kyung-hyun stated, "Despite the very difficult political and economic situation, our city will do its best to care for the people's livelihood by maintaining a steady stance, listening sincerely to the residents through frank dialogue, and actively reflecting essential matters in city administration."
