Baek Kyung-hyun, mayor of Guri City, attended the inauguration and retirement ceremony of the Guri City Christian Association held at World Vision Church on the 8th, expressing gratitude to Pastor Kim Ho-kyung, the outgoing president, and congratulating Pastor Lee Won-gyu, the new president.

The event was held with the participation of Kim Ho-kyung, outgoing president of the Guri City Christian Association (47th president), former and current executives of the Guri City Christian Association, Shin Dong-hwa, chairman of the Guri City Council, city council members, and National Assembly member Yoon Ho-jung. It proceeded in two parts: the first part was a worship service, followed by the inauguration and retirement ceremony in the second part.
In his inauguration speech, Lee Won-gyu, the 48th president, said, “This year seems to be a difficult and challenging year both internally and externally,” adding, “Although it is a fearful and trembling task, I will take off my shoes and run diligently, believing in God's word to run with my feet and that God is with me.”
Mayor Baek Kyung-hyun of Guri City said, “We cherish the love and dedication that the Christian Association has contributed to the local community, and we will continue to cooperate with the Christian Association and Guri City,” adding, “I hope the Guri City Christian Association will unite even more and fulfill the mission given by God well.”
A Guri City official stated, “We plan to actively cooperate with the Christian Association so that education and culture harmonize and children can grow up in a safe and happy environment.”
