"People Power Party Surrounded by Far-Right Forces"
"Myeong Taegyun Special Prosecutor Law to Pass Within February"
Park Seong-jun, the senior deputy floor leader of the Democratic Party of Korea, criticized the People Power Party, saying it is "soon to take down its signboard" and is surrounded by far-right forces.
On the 10th, Park appeared on KBS1 Radio's 'Jeonggyeok Sisa' and said, "Currently, the People Power Party is not receiving public support and is moving forward with the power of the far-right."
He said, "Is it really the image of a politician that this era demands to visit Hannam-dong to protect the president or to be seen with Pastor Jeon Gwang-hoon? I don't think so. Furthermore, we must take a firm stance as lawmakers to punish and discipline the president who undermined the constitutional order and did not recognize the National Assembly. The public sentiment is turning against them because of the contrary behavior. How can they maintain themselves as a political party?" he questioned.
Regarding the conservative groups' rallies opposing impeachment, he said, "It doesn't seem to be general conservatism, but rallies led by far-right forces are continuing," and pointed out, "(President Yoon Seok-yeol) destroyed the constitutional order and was responsible for threatening the lives and property of the people. This deviates from the fundamental values of conservatism."

He also criticized the Democratic Party's plan to push for a special prosecutor to investigate the so-called 'Myeong Tae-gyun Gate,' saying, "The biggest problem is that there is no progress at all in the investigation related to Mr. Myeong."
Park said, "Since there are decisive factors related to Mr. Myeong concerning the rebellion and martial law, it is most important to uncover the truth through the Myeong Tae-gyun special prosecutor law. We are currently preparing for that." He added, "We plan to propose and pass the Myeong Tae-gyun special prosecutor law within February."
