From January 10 to 12 (local time), LG Electronics will showcase a wide range of high-efficiency HVAC products at the 'AHR EXPO 2025,' the largest HVAC exhibition in North America, held in Orlando, Florida, USA.

LG Electronics' ES Business Division will lead the product exhibition. This division, launched with the goal of becoming the world’s top comprehensive HVAC company, will participate in the exhibition for the first time.

LG Electronics has prepared a total exhibition space of 646㎡ (approximately 195 pyeong), expanded by 73㎡ compared to last year, aiming to capture visitors’ attention with a display emphasizing its 'CoreTech' technology. The exhibition space is designed to allow intuitive viewing of the internal structure and key components of the products.

Recently, LG Electronics has been competing in the global HVAC market with products such as chillers. Chillers have gained attention as the importance of thermal management solutions increases due to big tech companies’ investments in artificial intelligence (AI) infrastructure. Chillers are HVAC solutions tailored for large-scale cooling and heating demand sites such as AI data centers, large buildings, and factories.

In particular, at this exhibition, LG Electronics will introduce the 'oil-free inverter turbo chiller,' which does not use lubricants on the motor shaft. The oil-free inverter turbo chiller applies magnetic bearing technology that levitates and supports the rotating shaft of the high-speed compressor motor using electromagnetic force, reducing friction loss and improving energy efficiency.

LG Electronics will also showcase an 'inverter heat pump' lineup designed considering the diverse climates across the United States. The inverter heat pump is a high-efficiency product certified by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency’s ENERGY STAR® program. It meets the diverse needs of local customers as a residential heating and cooling solution using a ducted unitary system, suitable for North American residential environments with many detached houses featuring spacious ceiling spaces.

There is also the 'residential cold-climate heat pump,' which won the '2025 AHR Innovation Award' in the sustainable solutions category. It maintains stable heating performance even at minus 35°C and maximizes heating efficiency by preventing outdoor unit condensate freezing through optimized refrigerant cycle technology. LG Electronics is conducting R&D on heat pump technology that delivers high performance even in extreme cold. It operates research centers in Alaska, USA; Oslo, Norway; and Harbin, China.

In addition to enhancing technological capabilities through research and development (R&D), LG Electronics is strengthening customized services by establishing a local end-to-end business system covering production, sales, and maintenance. Its AI-based smart control system monitors real-time usage and reduces energy consumption through optimization functions. Starting this year, some regions in the U.S., including California, have banned refrigerants with a global warming potential (GWP) above 750, and LG Electronics has introduced products that comply with this regulation. The exhibition will feature products such as the 'inverter scroll chiller' and 'Multi V i' that use R32 refrigerant, which has about 30% lower GWP than the conventional R410A refrigerant.

Lee Jae-sung, Vice President and Head of LG Electronics’ ES Business Division, said, "We will accelerate our B2B business with various space- and climate-customized HVAC solutions, including chillers that are gaining attention as thermal management solutions for AI data centers, and expand our influence in the global HVAC market."
