Applications Accepted from March 10 to 14
Paju City, Gyeonggi Province (Mayor Kim Kyung-il) announced on the 10th that it will continue to promote the ‘Small Business Management Environment Improvement Project’ this year, following last year, to support small business owners struggling due to the economic downturn.
The ‘Small Business Management Environment Improvement Project,’ first implemented last year, supports improvements in the management environment such as signage and interior design to reduce the management burden on small business owners and help strengthen business competitiveness, providing up to 2.5 million KRW per business.
Last year, the city selected a total of 55 businesses and supported costs for management environment improvements such as interior renovations, signage production, and purchase of POS (Point of Sale) devices. In a satisfaction survey conducted after the project ended, 96.4% of respondents answered ‘very satisfied.’
Accordingly, the city increased the budget this year to expand the selection scale to around 60 businesses and added more support items. The support items include ▲store environment improvement costs ▲promotion costs ▲system improvement costs, with closed-circuit television (CCTV) and unmanned payment systems newly added.
The project targets small business owners who have been operating for more than six months in the jurisdiction as of the 10th, selected based on evaluation criteria such as business plans, sales status, and business operation period.
Those wishing to apply should prepare the required documents and submit them to the Paju City Hall Job and Economy Division from March 10 to 14 by 6 p.m., or send them by mail to the Korea Productivity Center.
For more details, check the announcement on the Paju City Hall or Korea Productivity Center websites, or contact the Korea Productivity Center.
