A Korean woman skiing at a ski resort in Hokkaido, Japan, died in an accident.


According to Kyodo News on the 9th, a Korean woman in her 60s died while skiing at the Rusutsu Village ski resort in western Hokkaido. The woman collided forcefully with a tree beside the ski course and was transported to a hospital but passed away. It is reported that she was skiing with her husband after traveling to Hokkaido with her family.


An official from the Consulate General in Sapporo told Yonhap News Agency, "We heard from the police that a Korean person died." Local police are investigating the exact circumstances of the accident.
