Attending the Daegu Rally Against Yoon's Impeachment
"No Impeachment, No Early Presidential Election"
"Constitutional Court Would Be the 'Eulsa Five Traitors' If It Approves Impeachment"
Jeon Han-gil, a Korean history instructor who participated in the anti-impeachment rally for President Yoon Suk-yeol, harshly criticized some members of the People Power Party as ‘XXjasik’ and continued to pressure the Constitutional Court by calling it the 'Eulsa Five Traitors' if it were to approve the impeachment of President Yoon.
On the 8th, Jeon attended the National Emergency Prayer Meeting against President Yoon's impeachment held at Dongdaegu Station Square, hosted by the Protestant group Save Korea, and raised his voice, saying, “The president’s approval rating has exceeded 50%, so the impeachment will not pass, and there will be no early presidential election.”

Jeon said, “They are inciting an early presidential election, but when the president’s approval rating exceeds 50% and reaches about 60%, the Constitutional Court will 100% dismiss the impeachment,” adding, “Among the People Power Party members, there are those who talk about an early presidential election, but how are they different from XXjasik who prepare ancestral rites while their parents are still alive?”
He continued, “People Power Party members have been hesitating and tiptoeing since the declaration of martial law,” and emphasized, “From now on, I ask everyone to raise one voice in opposition to President Yoon Suk-yeol’s impeachment and for his reinstatement.”
Currently, the People Power Party officially distances itself from early presidential elections, conscious of its support base opposing President Yoon’s impeachment. However, the actions of Seoul Mayor Oh Se-hoon, Daegu Mayor Hong Joon-pyo, and former People Power Party leader Han Dong-hoon stand out.
Jeon continued his previous claims on the same day. Regarding President Yoon’s declaration of martial law, he said, “It was an enlightening order that revealed the true nature of the media’s hidden actions, the Corruption Investigation Office for High-ranking Officials (CIO), the Western Seoul District Court, and the Constitutional Court composed of biased judges that destroyed the rule of law, fairness, and common sense,” and claimed, “If the Constitutional Court impeaches the president, it will be recorded in history as a traitor to the Republic of Korea, a betrayer of the democratic spirit of the constitution, and the second Eulsa Five Traitors.”
He also said, “The Democratic Party, which impeaches the president elected by the people and tries to paralyze the executive branch and the national system, is the very subject of rebellion,” and added, “Some media outlets that act as puppets of the Democratic Party show biased behavior,” warning, “They will eventually be abandoned by the people and shut down. It is not too late even now, so report only the truth.”
According to police estimates, about 52,000 people participated in the rally that day. Present at the scene were People Power Party members representing Daegu and Gyeongbuk constituencies, including Yoon Jae-ok, Lee Man-hee, Kang Dae-sik, Lee In-seon, Kim Seung-su, Kwon Young-jin, Jo Ji-yeon, and proportional representative Lee Dal-hee, as well as Gyeongbuk Governor Lee Cheol-woo, Daegu City Council Chairman Lee Man-gyu, and Gyeongbuk Provincial Council Chairman Park Seong-man.
