‘Yeongdeungpo 09-beon’ Village Bus Route Extended to Daerim Station... Resolving Traffic Inconvenience in Daerim 3-dong

Yeongdeungpo-gu (Mayor Choi Ho-kwon) announced that it will extend the ‘Yeongdeungpo09’ village bus route and start operation from the 10th to enhance the convenience of public transportation for residents.

The Daerim 3-dong area is a densely populated residential area along Dorimcheon-ro, but residents have experienced transportation inconveniences due to a lack of village bus routes. Previously, the only village bus passing through Dorimcheon-ro was ‘Yeongdeungpo04,’ which was fewer than neighboring autonomous districts.

Accordingly, the district extended the Yeongdeungpo09 route to Daerim Station to strengthen the mobility rights of Daerim 3-dong residents and improve the public transportation environment.

The route, which previously ran between Sindorim Station, Dorim Intersection, and Yeongdeungpo Station, has been expanded to Daerim Station, making travel more convenient from Daerim 3-dong and Singil 3-dong areas such as Daerim Seongwon, Hyundai 3rd Complex, Singil Woosung 1st Complex, and Geonyeong Apartments to Daerim Station.

As part of this adjustment, a new bus stop was established in front of Exit 5 of Daerim Station. The extended route will begin operation from the first bus at 6 a.m. on February 10, running 108 times per weekday. The interval between buses will be 7 to 14 minutes, ensuring stable service during commuting hours.

The district reflected the requests of Daerim-dong residents for route extension and, after continuous consultations with the bus transportation company, Yeongdeungpo Police Station, and other related organizations, devised the optimal operation plan.

To eliminate blind spots in public transportation, the district is continuously expanding village bus routes. Last year, the ‘Yeongdeungpo05’ route was extended to Mullae-dong 4-ga, significantly improving accessibility to Yangpyeong Station, Mullae Station, and Dangsan Station.

Choi Ho-kwon, Mayor of Yeongdeungpo-gu, said, “Village buses are an important means of transportation serving as the feet of our residents,” adding, “We will continue to do our best to create a transportation environment where residents can move conveniently.”

‘Gwanak 1-Person Household Companion Talk’ Surpasses 1,200 Subscribers Since Launch in March Last Year! Establishes Itself as a Diverse Information Channel for Single-Person Households

Provides useful information for single-person households such as ▲Housing & Jobs ▲Safety ▲Single Smile Portal... From this year, the channel also includes various policies and lifestyle information from Gwanak-gu and Seoul City

Gwanak-gu (Mayor Park Jun-hee) has expanded the KakaoTalk channel ‘Gwanak 1-Person Household Companion Talk’ to promote tailored policies for single-person households in the area and improve residents’ access to district news and information.

Single-person households in Gwanak-gu account for 62.6% of all households. Although the district has actively developed and implemented support projects for single-person households, there was no integrated promotional platform, causing residents to individually search for information on various support programs.

In response, the district newly launched the ‘Gwanak 1-Person Household Companion Talk’ in March last year as a one-stop window to check support policies for single-person households.

The channel is composed of content such as ▲Housing & Jobs ▲Safety ▲Health & Care ▲Social Networks ▲Single Smile Portal (Seoul City’s single-person household portal) ▲Gwanak-gu Office Blog. Residents can click on the content to directly access related websites, enhancing convenience.

Over the past year, the district posted 79 promotional articles on the ‘Gwanak 1-Person Household Companion Talk’ news tab and sent KakaoTalk messages twice a month, providing a variety of useful information on support projects and programs for single-person households.

As a result, by the end of January 2025, the number of subscribers exceeded 1,200, receiving great response from residents.

In December last year, the district conducted a mobile survey among users to gather opinions on the 2025 single-person household policy needs and channel operation.

Reflecting the survey results, from this year, the ‘Gwanak 1-Person Household Companion Talk’ channel will provide not only existing support project information but also various policies and helpful lifestyle information from Gwanak-gu and Seoul City.

Additionally, to activate ‘Companion Talk,’ the district plans to strengthen promotion within related institutions such as local community service centers, the Youth Center, and the 50 Plus Center, actively guiding single-person household residents to receive more benefits.

Residents wishing to use the service can add the ‘Gwanak 1-Person Household’ channel by typing ‘Gwanak 1-Person Household’ in the KakaoTalk friend search bar or easily join by scanning the QR code.

Mayor Park Jun-hee said, “We will continuously reflect the policy demands of single-person households to establish ‘Gwanak 1-Person Household Companion Talk’ as a practical communication channel,” adding, “We will strive to create a Gwanak-gu where everyone is happy without anyone being left behind.” For more details, please contact the Single-Person Household Support Team at the Welfare Policy Division of Gwanak-gu Office.
