Dogichang, Head of Programming and Production at Daegu Traffic Broadcasting, received a plaque of appreciation from Daegu Ansillyeon (Daegu Safety Life Practice Citizens' Coalition) for his contributions to the spread of safety culture.
On the 6th, at the 2025 Daegu Ansillyeon General Meeting and New Year's Greeting held at the New York New York banquet hall in Daegu city, Dogichang was recognized for his contributions to preventing traffic accidents and spreading safety culture in the Daegu area, and received a plaque of appreciation from Kim Jung-jin, co-representative of Daegu Ansillyeon.
Joining Daegu Traffic Broadcasting in 1999, Dogichang has worked for 25 years as a reporter and head of programming and production, striving to prevent various safety accidents and raise citizens' awareness of safety incidents through coverage and reporting on traffic accidents, fire accidents, industrial disasters, falls, collapses, as well as various infectious diseases.
In particular, in 2006, Dogichang collaborated with Daegu Ansillyeon to produce and broadcast a special documentary titled "If Our Love Can Be a Light" to support children who lost their parents in traffic accidents. This documentary widely publicized the tragic realities and hardships faced by these children, contributing to the fundraising efforts to help them, an achievement that has been highly praised.
Dogichang said, "Since the purpose of traffic broadcasting is to facilitate smooth traffic flow and save lives, I feel rewarded that I have been able to contribute even a little to protecting the lives of Daegu citizens from various safety accidents including traffic accidents. Going forward, I will continue to do my best to cultivate mental health through safety-related broadcasting programs and to continuously raise awareness about the dangers of drugs to protect Daegu citizens from various narcotics."
