No Jongmyeon Criticizes Impeachment Hearing as "Low-Quality Comedy"
Claims Against Gwak Jonggeun Debunked by President Yoon’s Own Words
The Democratic Party of Korea criticized the 'Gwak Jong-geun changing his words' controversy as a 'false frame.' They argued that it was proven false by President Yoon Seok-yeol's own words in just 1 minute and 15 seconds.
No Jong-myeon, the Democratic Party's floor spokesperson, rebutted the 'Gwak Jong-geun changing his words' controversy during a briefing on the 9th. He stated, "The 6th hearing of President Yoon Seok-yeol's impeachment trial on the 7th was a piece of low-quality comedy. It was like a scene where the traitor Yoon Seok-yeol attacked the credibility of a key witness's testimony, only to conclude it was an 'impeachment conspiracy,'" adding, "An even more pathetic scene was the stance shown by some media and the People Power Party immediately after the 6th hearing."
Regarding the claim of 'Gwak Jong-geun changing his words,' which was presented as evidence of the impeachment conspiracy, Spokesperson No said, "Former Army Special Warfare Command Commander Gwak Jong-geun has consistently testified that Yoon Seok-yeol's order to 'pull them out' was premised on the quorum of the National Assembly's resolution," and added, "It is clear that the target was members of the National Assembly. Commander Gwak held video conferences with many subordinates immediately after receiving Yoon's order, so there can be no disagreement."

In this context, when the claim that it was 'agents' brought up by former Minister of National Defense Kim Yong-hyun, not lawmakers, became a laughingstock, they now pointed out Gwak's terminology. In the 6th hearing, former Commander Gwak testified regarding President Yoon's instructions, saying, "It seemed that the quorum for the resolution within the National Assembly was not met, so the order was to quickly break down the National Assembly doors and pull out the ‘inwon’ inside."
President Yoon argued that he does not use the word 'inwon' (personnel). However, President Yoon mentioned the word 'inwon' just 1 minute and 15 seconds later. Moreover, multiple instances where he referred to people as 'inwon' in publicly released schedules have been confirmed through the media and other sources.
Spokesperson No warned regarding the false frame raised by the People Power Party, saying, "While a false frame might temporarily incite supporters, the judicial system of the Republic of Korea and its people are not so easily deceived," and added, "I hope they keep in mind that the price traitor Yoon Seok-yeol and those aiding him must pay is growing ever greater."
