The donation ceremony held on the 7th in the reception room was attended by Cheon Chang-su, Superintendent of Education, Park Jeong-hwan, Director of Management at Korea MoveNex, Yang Ho-young, Secretary General of the Ulsan Community Chest of Korea, and other officials, adding warmth to the spirit of sharing.
Hakhae Scholarship Foundation, established by Korea MoveNex (formerly Korea Flange Industry) in 1996 as part of its social contribution projects, has been supporting tuition fees for financially struggling high school and university students in the Ulsan area every year.
Since the implementation of free high school education in 2021, the support method has changed to scholarship grants, and so far, a total of 139 million KRW in scholarships has been awarded to 252 students.
Park Jeong-hwan, Director of Management at Korea MoveNex, said, “As part of the company’s social contribution projects, we have been supporting students with tuition and scholarships. We hope this will help young people who are pursuing their dreams despite difficult circumstances not to give up on their studies.”
The Ulsan Office of Education plans to provide the 70 million KRW scholarship received this year to low-income students who are in genuine need, expecting that more students will benefit from this support.
Superintendent Cheon Chang-su expressed, “We deeply appreciate the company’s continuous interest and support for students. We will deliver this precious scholarship to students who do not lose hope and continue to nurture their dreams despite difficult environments.”
Korea MoveNex changed its name from the former ‘Korea Flange Industry’ on April 1 last year and continues to contribute to the local community through ongoing social contribution activities.
