Gwanak-gu and Gyeongryun Gyeongjeong General Headquarters Gwanak Branch Sign Welfare Enhancement Agreement for Vulnerable Residents

Gwanak-gu (Mayor Park Jun-hee) signed a business agreement on the 7th with the Gyeongin Cycling and Motorboat Headquarters Gwanak Branch of the Korea Sports Promotion Foundation to support vulnerable groups and promote community welfare.

Through this agreement, both organizations have established a close communication system to ensure that fair and transparent social contribution projects are carried out.

The main agreement items include ▲establishing an annual plan for social contribution projects ▲supporting and allocating budgets for social contribution projects to assist vulnerable groups ▲linking, supporting, and managing social welfare facilities and organizations involved in social contribution projects.

Accordingly, the district plans to promote support projects for vulnerable groups according to quarterly themes such as ▲Disability Day ▲Holidays ▲Heat waves ▲Cold waves, actively utilizing Onnuri gift certificates during project implementation to revitalize traditional markets and the local economy.

The Gyeongin Cycling and Motorboat Headquarters has participated annually in the Warm Winter Campaign, and last year supported Onnuri gift certificates to five welfare facilities and support organizations for vulnerable groups, including the Seoul Association of the Deaf Gwanak Branch and Gang Gam-chan Gwanak Comprehensive Social Welfare Center, spreading a culture of donation within the community and practicing sharing with neighbors.

Go Ban-seok, head of the Gyeongin Cycling and Motorboat Headquarters Gwanak Branch, said, “We have always been thinking about ways to contribute to the local community and wanted to implement support projects needed by vulnerable groups in a timely manner. I am glad that we have established a communication system through this business agreement,” adding, “We will continue to cooperate with the district for ongoing social contributions and strive to grow as a public institution that works together with the community.”

Park Jun-hee, mayor of Gwanak-gu, said, “I hope that by closely cooperating with the Gyeongin Cycling and Motorboat Headquarters Gwanak Branch to carry out social contribution projects fairly and transparently, it will help improve the welfare of vulnerable groups in our district and revitalize the local economy,” and added, “We will continue to work hard to spread a culture of sharing within the community so that no one is left out and everyone can live happily in Gwanak.”
