Park Gang-su, Mayor of Mapo District, opened a venue for harmony among people and generations by participating in the 'Jeongwol Daeboreum Folk Games' with residents from 12:30 PM on February 8, 2025, at the auditorium on the 4th floor of the Mapo Cultural Center.
About 200 residents and folk game participants gathered at the event, including Mayor Park Gang-su of Mapo District.
The Mapo Cultural Center, which hosted the event, held a traditional folk game festival starting with a Samulnori performance, followed by a Yutnori competition and Jegichagi.
In his congratulatory speech, Mayor Park Gang-su said, "The popularity of K-folk games, known through 'Squid Game,' was confirmed at the 'Red Road Lunar New Year Festival' held last month," adding, "Mapo District will do its best to preserve and inherit this precious culture that connects people and generations."
