Uijeongbu City, Gyeonggi Province (Mayor Kim Dong-geun) announced on the 8th that it held the ‘2025 LGT World Women's Curling Championship Organizing Committee Midterm Report Meeting’ on the 7th, presenting the current status of preparations and future plans, and resolved to successfully host the event.

The tournament, held at the Uijeongbu Indoor Ice Rink from March 15 to 23, will feature the top 13 countries in the world rankings. It is an important competition with seven spots for the 2026 Milan-Cortina-Dampezzo Winter Olympics at stake, and the best curling athletes from each country are expected to engage in fierce competition.
The organizing committee has continuously carried out promotional activities to build infrastructure, recruit volunteers, and encourage participation from local residents in preparation for the event. Additionally, maintenance of the arena and related facilities is progressing smoothly to provide the best competition environment for international spectators during the tournament.
The organizing committee is reviewing the remaining preparations while getting ready for the event. They also plan to complete the tournament operations without any issues through the participation of various volunteers and partner collaborators during the event. Furthermore, various events and programs for enjoying curling will be offered.
