Investigation Underway to Determine Exact Cause of the Accident

A small aircraft crashed in S?o Paulo, the largest city in Brazil, killing at least two people.

According to CNN and other foreign media on the 7th (local time), at around 7:20 a.m., a small aircraft fell onto a road near a busy area in the western Bahapunda district of S?o Paulo city and collided with a bus.


Local fire and law enforcement authorities reported that two people on board the aircraft died, and two others, including a motorcyclist passing by the scene, were injured. The exact condition of the injured is unknown.


The crashed aircraft was a twin-engine King Air model, which can carry up to eight people, but it was reported that only two people were on board. The aircraft took off from an airport in downtown S?o Paulo that morning but lost communication with the control tower shortly afterward.


Immediately after colliding with the aircraft, the bus was engulfed in flames. According to local photos and videos, thick black smoke was seen rising into the sky from a distance.


The Brazilian Air Force and other authorities are investigating the exact cause of the accident.
