On the 7th, Lee's team released a press statement announcing, "We are producing an urgent documentary investigating the recent controversial allegations of election fraud."

Regarding the background of the documentary production, they explained, "As suspicions of early election manipulation spread in South Korea, public distrust is growing. The significant discrepancies between early voting and same-day voting results in the 21st and 22nd general elections, the 20th presidential election, and the 2024 Seoul Superintendent of Education election have been pointed out as problematic."

They continued, "There are repeated cases where candidates won on the same-day vote but lost by more than 10% in early voting, raising the possibility of manipulation. During the 21st general election, in all 424 districts of Seoul without exception, the Democratic Party of Korea's early vote share was higher than the same-day vote share," they noted.

Lee stated, "The ongoing controversy over election fraud is attributed to inadequate responses from the National Election Commission (NEC) and the courts. If this distrust continues, it could lead to disputes over election results and pose a serious crisis that could shake the foundation of South Korean democracy."

He emphasized, "The goal of producing this documentary is to verify whether the allegations of election fraud are conspiracy theories or legitimate concerns."

Lee's documentary is scheduled for release in March. The distribution method is currently under discussion.

Meanwhile, Lee previously hosted investigative programs such as 'Consumer Report' and 'Food X-File,' but faced criticism amid controversies over insufficient verification. In 2021, Lee was recruited by Hong Joon-pyo's People Power Party presidential primary campaign, but the announcement was withdrawn within three hours due to a flood of criticism from Hong's supporters.
