Little Angels Art Troupe Appointed as Public Ambassador of Gwangjin-gu

Gwangjin-gu (Mayor Kim Kyung-ho) has appointed the Little Angels Art Troupe (Chairman Moon Hoon-sook) as the district's public ambassador.

On the 6th, the district held an appointment ceremony in the mayor's office and presented the ambassador appointment certificate. The event was attended by Kim Kyung-ho, Mayor of Gwangjin-gu, Moon Hoon-sook, Chairman of the Little Angels Art Troupe, Executive Director Noda Koji, Performance Business Team Leader Lee Hwa-young, and troupe members.

Founded in 1962 and celebrating its 63rd anniversary this year, the Little Angels Art Troupe is a traditional Korean art troupe composed of elementary and middle school students. Starting with a special performance for U.S. President Eisenhower in 1965, it has contributed to enhancing and developing the status of traditional cultural arts through over 7,000 domestic and international performances in more than 60 countries to date.

Based at the Universal Art Center on Cheonho-daero in Gwangjin-gu, the Little Angels Art Troupe holds deep affection for the district and leads social contribution efforts through talent donation.

In particular, following their volunteer performance at the ‘2024 Picnic in Naru’ festival, they also participated in the production of the ‘Gwangjin-gu 8th Term Comprehensive Promotional Video,’ widely promoting the district’s major projects and local attractions, significantly contributing to enhancing the district’s external image.

Kim Kyung-ho, Mayor of Gwangjin-gu, said, “I am very honored to welcome the Little Angels Art Troupe, which is loved worldwide and delivers excellent performances through sharing, as our public ambassador. I look forward to collaborating with Gwangjin-gu to promote the district and provide high-quality performances to our residents.”

The Little Angels Art Troupe will participate in various festivals and events over the next two years to promote the evolving Gwangjin-gu through diverse activities.
