Paju City Holds New Year City Administration Briefing for Two Weeks
Mobile Mayor’s Office Operates in 20 Districts Including Geumchon-dong
Over 1,000 Residents Participate... Operated a Total of 142 Times
Gyeonggi Paju City (Mayor Kim Kyung-il) held the ‘2025 City Administration Operation Plan Briefing and Mobile Mayor’s Office’ to announce the New Year’s administrative plan and listen to citizens’ opinions, attracting over 1,000 Paju residents and concluding successfully.

According to Paju City on the 7th, the New Year communication tour, scheduled to visit all 20 eup, myeon, and dong districts within Paju, began on the 20th of last month at Geumchon 2-dong and continued for two weeks.
Mayor Kim Kyung-il presented the core vision of ‘MinSaeng All-in (All人)’ and revealed three major administrative goals: leading the basic society in Korea, rapid entry into a self-sufficient city of one million, and building a cultural and ecological leisure hub in the metropolitan area, along with concrete action plans.
At the site, heads of departments and divisions responsible for various administrative fields attended without fail, providing detailed explanations of their respective duties, greatly helping to enhance citizens’ understanding of city administration.
Citizens who listened to Mayor Kim Kyung-il’s presentation on the administrative plan and explanations from the responsible officials expressed high interest in local issues by asking various questions and offering opinions. Over 200 complaints and suggestions were proposed by citizens during the two weeks.
Citizens raised diverse topics such as transportation issues including the 1,000-won taxi, road expansion, and increased bus services; establishment of cultural and tourism infrastructure; expansion of youth cultural spaces and sports facilities; and directions and challenges of agricultural policies. Paju City plans to respond promptly to the suggestions and actively reflect outstanding opinions and proposals in city administration.
Mayor Kim Kyung-il of Paju City stated, “It is the mayor’s duty to meet residents directly and listen to their opinions,” adding, “The various opinions gathered from the Mobile Mayor’s Office become the driving force for the development of city administration.”
The Mobile Mayor’s Office, an important policy of the 8th elected term, has been operated a total of 142 times so far. Citizens, organizations, or groups wishing to host the event can apply at eup, myeon, dong administrative welfare centers or relevant city hall departments to communicate directly with the Paju Mayor twice a week (Tuesdays and Thursdays).
