Namseoul University Achieves Top Rating in SW Education Support Project for Information-Disadvantaged Areas

Secured 50 Million KRW in Government Funding

Namseoul University announced on the 7th that the Software (SW) Miraechaeum Chungnam Center received the highest grade in the 2024 annual evaluation of the 'SW Education Support Enhancement Project for Information Underprivileged Areas'.

This project is overseen by the Ministry of Science and ICT and the National IT Industry Promotion Agency. Namseoul University, which received the highest grade, will be awarded 50 million KRW in government funding.

Since 2020, the center has provided education to approximately 50,000 students through various programs such as visiting SW education, SW experience camps, and SW festivals for elementary and middle school students as well as underprivileged groups in the Chungnam area.

This year, the center plans to expand the number of beneficiaries to over 15,000 and operate 80 professional SW instructors.
