Yangju City, Gyeonggi Province (Mayor Kang Su-hyun) announced on the 7th that it will hold the Yangju City Art Troupe's New Spring Concert 'Meeting, Spring' at 5 p.m. on March 8 in the auditorium on the first basement floor of the Gyeonggi Textile Comprehensive Support Center.
This concert was prepared to provide citizens with an opportunity to enjoy culture and to wish for a new leap forward for Yangju City in welcoming the hopeful spring.
The Yangju City Art Troupe consists of the City Choir and the City Symphony Orchestra. In this performance, conductor Ji Hyun-jeong of the City Choir and conductor Park Seung-yu of the City Symphony Orchestra will each take the baton to present a high-quality stage.
The performance program is composed of classical masterpieces with a warm and bright atmosphere and works with popular appeal. Sweet classical pieces such as Grieg's "Solveig's Song" and "I Love You," Strauss II's "Operetta Die Fledermaus Overture," and Ravel's "Pavane for a Dead Princess" are expected to captivate the audience's ears. Additionally, familiar folk songs such as "Jeongseon Arirang" and "Onghaeya" are also prepared, making it enjoyable for various generations together.
Admission to the concert is free for Yangju citizens aged 6 and older, and it will be operated by online advance reservation (260 seats) and first-come, first-served admission on the day (100 seats). Advance reservations will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis starting at 10 a.m. on the 11th through Naver Reservation, and applications can be made by accessing the QR code on the poster.
A Yangju City official said, "We hope this New Spring Concert will be a place of harmony where citizens unite through bright and hopeful melodies," and added, "We look forward to it being a meaningful time to welcome the warm spring with family, lovers, and friends."
