The Collective Intelligence Center of the Democratic Research Institute, the party’s think tank, held the launch ceremony for ‘A World Made Together, Everyone’s Question Q’ on the morning of the 7th at the National Assembly Members’ Office Building.
Lee Jae-myung, leader of the Democratic Party, said in his encouragement speech, "Even in the darkness of civil war, the sovereign people have carried out a revolution of light to prevent the regression of history and are writing a narrative to open an era of people-centered direct democracy." He added, "This project is a very meaningful endeavor attempted for the first time in our political history, and the leadership will support it with responsibility."
Everyone’s Question Q plans to broadly incorporate diverse voices from the general public, experts from various fields, and associations through various communication channels such as an online homepage, YouTube, and Instagram. Through the homepage, any citizen can freely post questions reflecting their usual concerns on the ‘Question Q bulletin board.’
With the early presidential election approaching, this organization is expected to play a role in essentially drafting the party’s presidential election pledges. It is an organization that Leader Lee Jae-myung has energetically promoted and empowered through party reorganization since last year.
Going forward, the discussion process is expected to be reflected in the Green Paper. The Green Paper is a transcript that proposes policies and records the process of collecting diverse opinions from stakeholders. First-term lawmakers from each standing committee (including Hwang Jeong-ah, Wi Seong-rak, Park Seon-won, Chae Hyun-il, Lee Yong-woo, Kim Nam-hee, etc.) will respond to citizens’ questions or convey major opinions to each standing committee.
