Suncheon City Announces 2025 Suncheon-Style Village Enterprise Contest

12 Million KRW Support Per Organization

Suncheon City, Jeollanam-do (Mayor Noh Gwan-gyu) announced on the 7th that applications for the 2025 Suncheon-type village enterprise contest will be accepted until the 20th.

This Suncheon-type village enterprise contest is open to corporations or organizations wishing to establish a village enterprise within Suncheon City. It is a project that supports corporations or organizations establishing a village enterprise for the first time with expenses such as product development, consulting, and publicity. The support scale for this Suncheon-type village enterprise is about three organizations, with each receiving approximately 12 million KRW in project funding.

Eligible applicants are organizations or corporations that meet all the requirements for designation as a village enterprise (community spirit, public interest, business viability, and regionality), and have at least five members including the representative who have completed either the ‘Suncheon-type Village Enterprise Introductory Training’ or the village enterprise training organized by Jeollanam-do.

Organizations or corporations wishing to meet the eligibility requirements can complete the Suncheon-type Village Enterprise Introductory Training scheduled for the 17th. Registration for the training is open until the 14th. For information on the training and contest application, refer to the ‘2025 Suncheon-type Village Enterprise Introductory Training Application Notice’ and the ‘2025 Suncheon-type Village Enterprise Recruitment Notice’ on the city’s official website under the ‘Notices/Announcements’ board.

A city official stated, “We will continue to discover village enterprises that contribute to local income generation and the spread of community values, and that possess business performance and competitiveness, in order to revitalize the local economy.”
