Woori Bank Opens Mobile Resident Registration Card Verification Service

Woori Bank announced on the 7th that it has launched the "Resident Registration Card Mobile Verification Service" on 'Woori WON Banking' since the 5th, which can be used for identity verification even without the physical resident registration card.

The "Resident Registration Card Mobile Verification Service" is a service that helps verify identity by displaying the information recorded on the resident registration card along with a QR code on a smartphone. To register for the service, users can complete the registration process including identity verification through 'Woori WON Banking ▷ Convenience Services ▷ Wonder Wallet ▷ Resident Registration Card Mobile Verification Service' and start using it immediately.

This service can be conveniently used in various situations requiring identity verification, such as △ domestic hospitals and clinics △ domestic airport boarding procedures △ passenger terminals △ movie theaters △ convenience stores △ public institutions, etc. The range of applications is expected to gradually expand in the future.

According to the Real Name Financial Transactions Act, it cannot be used for identity verification tasks that require keeping a copy of an ID, such as account opening procedures at financial companies that require real-name verification. Also, only one financial company app can be used on a personal phone, so duplicate use is not allowed.
