The prestigious international academic journal Nature has been hosting conferences and forums in collaboration with Korea University in 2020, Seoul National University in 2021, and Yonsei University in 2023. This year, together with KAIST, it held a three-day event from the 5th under the theme "Materials for Artificial Intelligence, Artificial Intelligence for Materials," providing an opportunity for communication between overseas scholars and domestic academia and research communities.

The meeting was attended by four editorial board members including Christina Carre, Senior Editor of Nature, Kim Soon, Head of the Korea Office, and Lee Kwang-hyung, President of KAIST.

Vice Minister Lee stated, "South Korea regards science, technology, and digital as the core of national competitiveness and is doing its best to expand investment and improve systems to enhance these areas," adding, "We will support diversifying and regularizing opportunities for communication within the domestic and international science and technology communities, such as this conference."
