KOSDAQ Rebounds to Slightly Firm Trend After Opening Lower
On the morning of the 7th, the KOSPI showed a slightly firm trend.
On this day, the KOSPI opened at 2,532.09, down 0.18% from the previous day. Afterwards, with a surge in individual buying, it remained in a flat range in the early session.
In the early session of the securities market, foreigners and institutions sold net amounts worth 10.4 billion KRW and 40.8 billion KRW respectively. Individuals bought a net amount of 47.5 billion KRW.
Most sectors were in decline. The electric and gas sector had the largest drop at 3.69%. This was followed by food and tobacco (-1.81%), machinery and equipment (-1.73%), and insurance (-1.37%). Pharmaceuticals (1.54%), securities (0.76%), and construction (0.70%) rose.
Among the top 10 stocks by market capitalization, most were in a flat range. Samsung Electronics (-0.7%), Celltrion (-0.5%), LG Energy Solution (-0.4%), Kia (-0.4%), and NAVER (-0.2%) showed slight declines. Samsung Biologics rose 3.9%. HD Hyundai Heavy Industries (0.6%), KB Financial (0.4%), SK Hynix (0.2%), and Hyundai Motor (0.2%) showed a slightly firm trend.
The KOSDAQ also opened at 739.88, down 0.06% from the previous day. By 9:16 AM, it turned upward to 744.51, up 0.57% from the previous day.
In the KOSDAQ market, foreign buying appeared to drive the stock prices up. Foreigners bought a net amount worth 12 billion KRW, while individuals and institutions sold net amounts worth 5.1 billion KRW and 4.1 billion KRW respectively.
Most sectors were on the rise. Finance (1.69%), non-metal (1.63%), chemicals (1.33%), and machinery and equipment (1.32%) showed particularly strong gains. Construction (-0.86%), transportation and warehousing (-0.72%), and metals (-0.68%) declined.
Among the top 10 stocks by market capitalization, Ecopro BM had the largest increase at 2.8%. This was followed by Rainbow Robotics (2.6%), Ecopro (2.1%), HLB (1.8%), Ligachem Bio (0.7%), and Hugel (0.4%). Samchundang Pharm (-4.0%), Classys (-1.1%), Lino Industrial (-0.9%), and Alteogen (-0.6%) declined.
