The Automobile Journalists Association Selects Hyundai Palisade as Car of the Month for February

The Korea Automobile Journalists Association announced on the 7th that Hyundai Motor Company's The All-New Palisade has been selected as the Car of the Month for February 2025.

The Car of the Month Selection Committee under the Journalists Association evaluates new and facelifted models released during the entire previous month, from the 1st to the end, and announces the Car of the Month. The evaluation consists of five categories: ▲interior and exterior design and emotional quality ▲safety and convenience features ▲power performance ▲energy efficiency and greenhouse gas emissions ▲marketability and purchase intention.

Among the new cars introduced last month, the BMW New M5, BYD Atto 3, Audi The New Audi A3, Genesis GV70 electrified facelift model, and Hyundai Motor Company's The All-New Palisade (listed in brand name alphabetical order) were nominated as candidates for Car of the Month for February. After fierce competition, The All-New Palisade was finally selected as the Car of the Month for February with a score of 34.7 points out of 50.

The Palisade received a score of 7.7 out of 10 in the safety and convenience features category, 7.3 in the interior and exterior design and emotional quality category, and 7.0 in the power performance category.

Jung Chi-yeon, Chairperson of the Car of the Year Selection Committee, stated, "The new Palisade is the second-generation complete redesign model introduced after six years, featuring a grand and bold exterior design with a distinctive character. It utilizes the advantage of a length exceeding 5 meters to provide a spacious interior that considers passengers, making it a flagship large sport utility vehicle (SUV). It is the first to apply the next-generation hybrid system and is equipped with advanced safety and convenience features to offer comfort while driving."

The Korea Automobile Journalists Association has been selecting and announcing the Car of the Month since 2019, and last month, The New Audi Q7 was honored as the Car of the Month.

The Journalists Association announces the Car of the Month selection results through its official website. Vehicles selected as Car of the Month are granted a free pass privilege, allowing them to advance directly to the first round of the final judging without going through the first and second half-year Car of the Year evaluations.
