Minister of Trade, Industry and Energy Award for Technology

Renault Korea's new mid-size SUV, the 'New Renault Grand Koleos,' is receiving great response in the market. The Grand Koleos, which began customer deliveries in September last year, surpassed cumulative sales of 10,000 units in just 44 business days, the shortest period among all Renault Korea new models.

The Grand Koleos embodies Renault's core value of being 'a car to accompany you every day.'

It offers an elegant and modern exterior design with the longest wheelbase in its class at 2820 mm, providing a spacious interior. The body also applies ultra-high-strength 'Hot Press Forming (HPF)' parts at the highest ratio in its class, 18%. It is available in three trims: Techno, Iconic, and Esprit Alpine, with the Esprit Alpine being the top-tier trim introduced for the first time in the domestic market.

In terms of safety, it uses many high-quality materials such as new giga steel with over 980 MPa strength and Advanced High-Strength Steel (AHSS). All trims come standard with advanced driving assistance features at autonomous driving Level 2.

The 'Q Resque Code,' applied for the first time in Renault Korea vehicles domestically, further enhances driving safety. The Q Resque Code is a QR code that allows quick access to vehicle information. In case of an accident, it helps rescue occupants inside the vehicle quickly and safely on-site, reducing rescue time by up to 15 minutes.

The Grand Koleos E-Tech Hybrid delivers powerful driving performance with a system output of 245 horsepower, the highest in its class. At the same time, it achieves class-leading fuel efficiency with an official combined fuel economy of 15.7 km/l (based on the Techno trim with 19-inch tires).

The Grand Koleos 2.0 Gasoline Turbo 2WD features a 7-speed wet dual-clutch transmission (DCT) that delivers strong power. It boasts a maximum output of 211 horsepower at 5000 rpm and maximum torque of 33.2 kg·m between 2000 and 4500 rpm. Based on this, it achieves the highest official combined fuel economy in its class at 11.1 km/l (based on 19- and 20-inch tires).

For the first time in a domestic model, the 'Open R Panorama Screen' extends to the front passenger seat, allowing access to online video services (OTT), music streaming services, and web services. Real-time T-map navigation and the voice recognition system 'NUGU Auto' are also standard. Additionally, Renault Korea provides unlimited 5G data for five years, which can be connected to various electronic devices inside the vehicle via hotspot functionality for Wi-Fi communication.
