The Berlin International Film Festival is one of the world's top three film festivals, attracting about 450,000 viewers last year. Approximately 12,000 film professionals from 143 countries participated, with active film rights trading centered around the EFM. The Cultural Center operates a meeting lounge providing a business meeting space, free internet, and beverages so that Korean film distributors, production companies, and other industry professionals can conduct their work comfortably, avoiding the crowded festival venues and nearby cafes.

The Korean Film Lounge is open on weekdays from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Any Korean film industry professional visiting the festival can use the business meeting space by applying in advance via email.

Currently, at the Cultural Center exhibition hall, a special exhibition titled 'Design of Scenes' is underway, highlighting the production design world of art directors representing the Korean film industry, including works such as 'Hansan,' 'Decision to Leave,' and 'Giliboksoon.'

The 75th Berlin Film Festival, held under the new executive chairperson Tricia Tuttle, has invited seven Korean films. Director Hong Sangsoo's new work 'In Front of Your Face' was invited to the competition section, and 'Pachgwa,' starring director Min Kyudong and actress Lee Hye-young, was invited to the Berlinale Special section.

Yang Sanggeun, director of the Cultural Center, said, "We operate the 'Korean Film Lounge' here in Berlin, where a global film festival is held, to support Korean filmmakers in any way possible," adding, "We hope the space prepared by the Cultural Center will be loved as a place for exchange and business meetings for Korean filmmakers visiting Berlin."
