As government departments blocking access to DeepSeek, an artificial intelligence (AI) service from China, are spreading comprehensively, the Ministry of Education has also taken measures to block access.
On the 6th, the Ministry of Education issued a statement saying, "We have decided to block access to DeepSeek at the Ministry of Education headquarters until the safety of DeepSeek, including personal information protection, is confirmed."
They also guided kindergartens, elementary, middle, and high schools, as well as institutions affiliated with the Ministry of Education, to block access to DeepSeek.
The Ministry of Education added, "However, in cases where universities or graduate schools use it for academic research or educational purposes, they were advised to use it with security precautions according to the 'Security Guidelines for Using Generative Artificial Intelligence Services.'"
