The "Hope 2025 Sharing Campaign," jointly organized by Taean County in Chungnam Province and the Community Chest of Korea for the year-end and New Year season, has successfully concluded with enthusiastic support from county residents.
The county announced on the 6th that, as a result of the 62-day campaign held from December 1 last year to January 31 this year, a total of 126 organizations, groups, and individuals participated, raising cash and in-kind donations worth 359.58 million won.
During the campaign period, cash donations amounted to 253.94 million won from 113 cases, and in-kind donations such as rice were delivered in 13 cases, totaling 105.63 million won.
The Hope 2025 Sharing Campaign is held annually to provide a warm winter for neighbors in need, such as the elderly living alone, people with disabilities, and low-income families in the region.
At the mobile fundraising event held on December 18 last year in the county office’s main auditorium, despite the cold weather, donations totaling 138.148 million won in cash and in-kind donations worth 50 million won were made in just one day, moving the local community.
A county official stated, “We deeply appreciate the residents, organizations, and group representatives who contributed their sincerity to help neighbors in need despite the difficult economic situation,” and added, “We will actively work to further spread this beautiful culture of sharing.”
