Jangseong Love Gift Certificates to Be Distributed by the 7th
Jangseong County in Jeollanam-do is providing emergency management stabilization funds to pear farmers who suffered damages from abnormal high temperatures such as last summer's heat wave.
According to the county on the 6th, the number of heat wave days last year reached 33.1, which is 3.5 times higher than the previous year, directly resulting in significant damage to pear farms.
In response, the county will provide Jangseong Love Gift Certificates to 45 farms covering 37.4 hectares, calculated at 100 won per square meter.
Farms with a cultivation area of less than 1,000 square meters or with non-agricultural income exceeding 37 million won are excluded from the support.
County Governor Kim Hanjong stated, "We plan to complete the payment of support funds by the 7th to help restore the livelihood economy," adding, "We will continue to provide support for the stability of agriculture and the local economy in the future."
