For Lower-Grade Elementary School Children in the Southwestern Region
Hwaseong City in Gyeonggi Province announced on the 6th that it will operate the 'Health Kiwoom' program, a visiting health promotion education program for lower-grade elementary school children in the southwestern region during the vacation period.
This program, designed to foster healthy lifestyle attitudes and habits in children, is conducted through an experience-oriented educational approach. The education consists of ▲ CPR training using a cardiopulmonary resuscitation model to prepare for safety accidents that may occur in daily life ▲ physical activity exercises that can be done with a partner ▲ proper tooth brushing education using a dental model for correct oral health care.

Starting in March, when the school semester begins, the city plans to conduct play-based experiential education programs at the Children's Health Experience Center for children aged 3 to 5 in local daycare centers and kindergartens. If visiting the experience center is difficult, it is also possible to reserve educational tools for self-directed education such as hand washing and sex education.
Programs such as Health Kiwoom and the Children's Health Experience Center can be reserved for groups by institutions through the Hwaseong City Integrated Reservation System. For more details, inquiries can be made to the Health Promotion Division of Hwaseong City Western Public Health Center.
The city will monitor the satisfaction of participating institutions with the programs to explore ways to establish children's health habits and awareness, and through this, provide customized programs according to the children's age.
Gwak Maeheon, director of Hwaseong City Western Public Health Center, said, "We will continue to develop various programs so that children can form knowledge and attitudes about healthy living habits and lay the foundation for lifelong health management."
