Keimyung University (President Shin Il-hee) has prepared a special exhibition to commemorate and support industry-academic cooperation with local companies. The exhibition, held at the Black Gallery of the Geukjae Art Museum on Keimyung University's Daemyeong Campus until the 7th, features portraits of 20 representatives, executives, and employees from local companies (institutions) collaborating with Keimyung University.

The participating companies (institutions) include a total of 16 organizations such as the Daegu Gyeongbuk Design Promotion Agency Foundation, KPD Co., Ltd., NS Design Co., Ltd., and NUC Electronics Co., Ltd. This exhibition was planned as part of Keimyung University's 'Cheer Up! Our Companies Project,' which aims to strengthen ties with local businesses. Notably, all exhibited works were directly photographed and produced by students from the Department of Photography and Video Media in the College of Fine Arts at Keimyung University, adding special significance.

"Cheer Up Our Companies"... Keimyung University Holds Portrait Exhibition of 20 Entrepreneurs An exhibition of portraits of entrepreneurs organized by Keimyung University is being held.

The students began full-scale work in November of last year. After selecting subjects for photography in consultation with each company, they conducted individual interviews to develop shooting concepts. The completed works, created through on-site shooting and post-production, were unveiled through the exhibition. During the process, faculty members and professional photography companies participated as mentors, providing technical advice that enhanced the quality of the works.

The exhibited works have been praised for their realism and artistic quality. Beyond simple portraits, they capture the individuality and roles of each businessperson. After the exhibition ends, the photographed images will be presented as commemorative gifts to the subjects featured in the works.

Kim Yoon-hee, Dean of the College of Fine Arts, said, “Through this exhibition, we hope to support local design institutions and companies in continuing their active business activities and provide students with opportunities to understand the regional industry through communication with companies.”

Kim Jong-bu, CEO of NUC Electronics Co., Ltd., emphasized, “Our local companies have steadily enhanced their competitiveness through design, and the design infrastructure of universities and institutions greatly supports corporate growth. We hope such industry-academic cooperation will continue to expand.”
