Jeonju University Receives 'A Grade' in Lifelong Education System Evaluation by Ministry of Education

Building an Adult Learner-Friendly Model
in Collaboration with the Local Community

Jeonju University (President Park Jinbae) announced on the 6th that it received an 'A grade' in the second-year comprehensive evaluation of the second cycle of the University Lifelong Education System Support Project, organized by the Ministry of Education.


In this evaluation, Jeonju University achieved the highest grade in both the Advanced Model (Type 2) and the Regional Government Cooperation Model (Type 3) categories, receiving high praise for building an adult learner-friendly education model in collaboration with the local community.

Jeonju University was highly evaluated for its efforts to advance the lifelong education system, its establishment of information resources, the adequacy and excellence of its plans for building related data and learning support systems for RPL operation, and its outstanding achievements in building and operating networks between the university and the local community, as well as between universities.


Additionally, the university received the highest 'A grade' for its efforts to spread achievements through the operation of an organic governance system with metropolitan and basic local governments, its participation in the lifelong education sector of the Jeonbuk RISE basic plan consortium, its establishment of a university lifelong education system linked to regional development, its outstanding achievements in building and operating networks between the university and the local community and between universities, and its excellent cases of expanding living labs and teaching methods to solve local issues.


Jeonju University, together with Howon University, is carrying out detailed projects based on six core tasks established through the '365 Jeonbuk Consortium' and its mid- to long-term development plan for lifelong education.


Furthermore, by expanding projects promoted in cooperation with Jeonbuk Special Self-Governing Province, the university plans to broaden its university-local community cooperation network within the 'Regional Innovation-led University Support System (RISE)' and strengthen its customized education and research base linked to local industries.


To this end, the university plans to further activate cooperation with local governments and regional companies and to develop customized education programs for nurturing local talent.


Additionally, by utilizing the RISE system, Jeonju University will systematically foster professionals needed by the local community and continue innovation so that the university can establish itself as a key agent of regional development.


President Park Jinbae stated, "Jeonju University will advance the lifelong education system and strengthen ties with the local community, building a sustainable lifelong education model using the RISE system. Beyond simply providing degree-oriented education, we will do our best to establish a lifelong education base tailored to regional and industrial needs and to create an environment where adult learners can continue to learn."


Meanwhile, Jeonju University plans to further strengthen the foundation for mutual growth between the university and the local community by establishing an adult learner-friendly education model through innovation in the lifelong education system in collaboration with the region.
