Cheongsong-gun, Gyeongbuk Province, was selected as the best institution in the 2024 Comprehensive Information Disclosure Evaluation conducted by the Ministry of the Interior and Safety.
The Ministry of the Interior and Safety conducted a comprehensive evaluation of information disclosure performance for a total of 554 institutions, including central administrative agencies, local governments, and public institutions, divided into 11 indicators across five areas: ▲Pre-disclosed Information ▲Original Document Disclosure ▲Request Disclosure ▲Customer Management ▲System Operation, and published the results.
Cheongsong-gun received high scores in the pre-disclosed information area, where information needed by residents is proactively and actively disclosed in advance through the website before residents request information disclosure, and also earned excellent scores in the appropriateness of the information disclosure request processing procedures.
In addition, it received good evaluations in the original document disclosure area, where information produced by public officials is disclosed in its original form even without a separate request, achieving consistently high scores across all areas.
Among local governments in Gyeongbuk Province, only Cheongsong-gun and Chilgok-gun received the highest grade this year.
Since the first comprehensive information disclosure evaluation in 2019, Cheongsong-gun has been selected as the best institution in four out of six evaluations, except for two times in 2023 and 2020 when it received the excellent grade, thereby playing a leading role in strengthening administrative transparency and accountability and promoting residents' right to know.
Governor Yoon Kyung-hee said, “Cheongsong-gun always strives to provide residents with prompt and accurate information, and will continue to strengthen information disclosure work to further enhance residents' right to know and administrative transparency.”
