Expansion to Metropolitan Cities Including Daegu Planned in the First Quarter
SSG.com (Ssg.com) announced on the 6th that it will start dawn delivery services in the Busan area. Until now, dawn delivery had been available in the Seoul metropolitan and Chungcheong regions, but it has now expanded to the Yeongnam region. Customers living in Busan who order by 10 PM can receive their products by 7 AM the next day.
Most fresh food items are covered by the "Freshness Guarantee Program." This program is Ssg.com's quality assurance service for fresh food. If customers feel that the freshness of the products delivered via dawn delivery has deteriorated, they can simply upload a photo and receive a full refund without any conditions.
SSG.com is working to expand its delivery zones to meet the demand for dawn delivery in provincial areas. In fact, from the 5th to the 25th of last month, dawn delivery sales in new regions including Chungcheong increased by 80% compared to the same period the previous month. During the same period, overall dawn delivery sales increased by 20%.
SSG.com plans to increase new customers by partnering with CJ Logistics. Dawn delivery is also scheduled to begin in Daegu during the first quarter of this year. CJ Logistics has a logistics infrastructure of over 700 locations nationwide.
From the 7th of this month to the 6th of next month, if products ordered by customers in the Busan area do not arrive by 7 AM, the order amount will be fully refunded up to 100,000 KRW in SSG Money. Additional benefits include up to 50% discounts on grocery items, free shipping coupons, and a gift of 10 eggs.
