Support for Material Costs and More
to Foster Traditional Crafts
Geochang-gun, Gyeongnam Province, is promoting the ‘2025 Craft Development Incentive Support Project’ to encourage the development of excellent crafts and support the commercialization of new crafts, aiming to boost craft sales and foster the traditional craft industry.
The application period is from February 5 to 14, and the support target is craft companies registered as businesses in Geochang-gun as of the announcement date. Companies wishing to apply for the support project can submit their applications in person.
The selection criteria include award results, number of submissions, qualifications and production capacity of craft producers, and participation in the development of the local craft industry. Selected companies will receive a development incentive of 2.4 million KRW and must exhibit their works at the ‘Gyeongsangnam-do Craft Exhibition’ scheduled for June.
Kim Mi-jeong, Director of the Economic Enterprise Division, stated, “We hope that excellent crafts will continue to be developed and nurtured,” and added, “We will continue to make efforts to boost the morale of local artisans and foster the craft industry.”
