Visiting the Free Economic Zone, Startup Park, and More from the 5th to the 7th
Incheon City announced on the 6th that a delegation of public officials from its sister city, Kitakyushu, Japan, visited Incheon to experience smart innovative administration.
This visit is the second one following last year. The delegation, consisting of 10 members, will spend three days from the 5th engaging in experiential and exchange activities at various locations such as the Incheon Free Economic Zone Promotion Center, Incheon Startup Park, and Sangsang Platform (a complex cultural space).
On the first day, they visited the Incheon Urban History Museum and the Incheon Free Economic Zone Promotion Center to learn about the history of modern Incheon and its development into a global innovative city. They then visited the Incheon Free Economic Zone Smart City Operation Center to observe the integrated monitoring and operation system of smart city services utilizing Fourth Industrial Revolution technologies in areas such as crime prevention, transportation, and environment.

On the 6th, the delegation will directly use the Incheon e-ji app to experience smart tourism around the open port area, listen to explanations about the Songdo Bio Cluster project, which has the world's largest biopharmaceutical production capacity, and be introduced to success stories of resident companies.
They will also hold a meeting with public officials from the sister city to discuss ways to promote exchange and cooperation between the two cities. On the final day, the 7th, they will visit Incheon Startup Park and Songdo Triple Street, and tour the Inspire Entertainment Resort.
The visit by the Kitakyushu delegation began last year following a proposal by Kazuhisa Takeuchi, the mayor of Kitakyushu, who visited Incheon in May 2023 to commemorate the 35th anniversary of the sister city relationship and expressed a desire to learn from Incheon's advanced administrative experience and know-how.
