Nearly 400,000 Concurrent Viewers
Over 600 Units Sold Out
Pre-orders Open Until the 18th, Official Release on the 21st
LG Electronics' 'LG StanbyMe2', released after 4 years, sold out within 30 minutes during its first pre-order sale.
LG Electronics announced on the 6th that it started pre-sales of the LG StanbyMe2 through the live broadcast 'Ella Show' on the LG online brand shop the previous afternoon, and sold all the stock prepared, which was more than three times the amount of the previous model, within 30 minutes of the broadcast.
It is known that about 200 units of the previous LG StanbyMe were prepared during its first pre-order sale.
LG Electronics explained that the maximum number of simultaneous viewers during the broadcast approached 400,000, and the additional stock supplied beyond the initially prepared quantity was sold out in less than 10 minutes.
The LG StanbyMe2 allows the screen and stand to be separated with the push of a button without complicated processes such as unscrewing. Using dedicated accessories, it can be set up like a tablet PC or hung on the wall like a picture frame to enjoy content.
It is equipped with a 27-inch QHD (2560×1440) resolution display, improving image quality compared to the previous FHD model, and features a high-capacity battery that allows up to 4 hours of use without being connected to a power source.
LG Electronics plans to accept pre-orders until the 18th and officially launch the product on the 21st. Pre-order customers will receive dedicated accessories worth 120,000 KRW and benefits worth 100,000 KRW through a review event. The domestic shipment price of the LG StanbyMe2, including the moving wheel stand as a basic configuration, is 1,290,000 KRW.
