Pocheon City has set the audit direction as prevention, problem-solving, and creating an honest public service society, and will conduct comprehensive audits targeting a total of 21 departments and institutions (2 bureaus, 1 direct agency, 5 eup/myeon, public corporations, and investment/subsidized institutions). To minimize administrative gaps, audits will be conducted in a non-face-to-face, data-centered manner starting this year.

Specific audits conducted to revitalize the local economy will focus on three cases, including the actual purchase status of local goods. In addition, ad hoc inspections and specific audits will be carried out as needed.

In particular, a zero-tolerance audit will be conducted through thorough investigations regarding the three major misconducts: sex crimes, bribery, and drunk driving, as well as public service discipline laxity and workplace bullying.

A Pocheon City official stated, “With the exclusion of autonomous affairs audits by Gyeonggi Province and the revision of the 'Pocheon City Internal Audit Regulations,' the scope of audits has expanded, bringing us one step closer to realizing the value of local autonomy. We will focus on sound finances, public stability, economic vitality, and establishment of public service discipline to strive for an orderly public service society.”
